I am a single person who lives alone....since I don't need a 12 cup coffee maker, I've been attracted to the single cup coffee format.
My first purchase of a single cup coffee maker (I refuse to name names# was a complete disaster...it made poor quality coffee, the coffee cartridges were not available anywhere except at the manufacturer, plus they were horribly expensive to purchase. After that, I decided to wait for awhile for better technology to come along.
A couple of years ago, after I felt the tech had significantly improved, I looked at single cup coffee machines again, and decided on the Tassimo T-20 model....it made great coffee, the T-Disks could be purchased locally, and were reasonably priced, which I felt would more than make up for the higher cost of the brewer itself.
I have owned this model for two plus years now, and it's hands down the best coffee machine I've ever purchased. The coffees even better than 2 years ago #which wasn't all that bad even when Starbucks left the format#, coffees are still reasonably priced and locally available at more places than ever. I even developed a taste for lattes and cappuccinos...oh those are so good #real milk makes the difference)!
This machine can do everything, do it better, and save you money over the long haul.....what is not to like about it?

The title says it all...this is the replacement for the old Starbucks cappuccino that went away over a year ago. If you miss it, give this a try, you won't be disappointed.

This is exactly the kind of coffee you would expect to find at a diner, a convenience store, or a truck stop. Not exactly awe inspiring, but definitely not watered down either.
The reason for the 3 star review is it's price....were it not for the fact it's so expensive, I would recommend this as a daily blend. At it's current pricing, I would recommend this as an alternative if nothing else good is on the shelf.

In Dark Italian Roast, Gevalia just achieved what all coffee should strive for.
Very, very robust, yet zero bitter or burnt taste....and it has a metric ton of flavor in every sip.
It's liquid gold in a coffee cup, and it's why I'm proud to own a tassimo!

I got mine for fee as it was sent to me over two years ago in a promotion. Ever since then I have been a big fan of this unit. It is simple to use and simple to clean and has never had one problem.
My only problem is getting the t-disc's local. Every once in awhile I can get them at Bed Bath & Beyond but even they don't keep what I want in stock. Forget Walmart and even our local supermarket has stopped carrying them.
I am now ordering them direct but when you run out your stuck for awhile.
I too wish they had more selections but I have found what I like. HINT more hot coca choices and coffee.
Great machine, great system just very poor distribution of the t-disc. They have a winner but don't appear to now how to market it.

Have you tried checking out Target department stores? Their T-Disk selection has improved dramatically here.

What does the red "water spray" light mean?
It is located under the brewing cup...
The red water spray light indicates one of the following:
1. If it comes on when you turn it on, or make a cup of coffee, the machine needs descaling asap.
2. Light also comes on durring descaling, indicating the machine is in descale mode.
3. If it and the other lights come on at the same time, it means the machine is defective, and needs replacement.

cleaning new machine
After completing the new machine cleaning many times I am still getting a plastice smell and taste from the machine. Machine works well coffee not tasting so good. Any suggestions
After descaling, you need to rinse the thing out by filling the reservoir full with water only and running the descale cycle again. I personally rinse it out twice this way before using.

I put my Tassimo T20 brewer through a cleaning cycle and now it does not work properly. It pumps about an inch of water out and then quits.
I have tried the cleaning cycle several times with no results.
1. Make sure you are using single cup coffee cleaner only...do not use cleaning products for regular coffee makers as they have vinegar which will not descale properly. Bed, Bath and Beyond sells a suitable product called 'Single Cup Coffee Cleaner', so I would buy either that or the Bosch tassimo cleaner only.
2. If you are using the correct stuff....try putting in about half a bottle, then fill the reservior up to the top with water and try again. Make sure you run the reservoir dry, then run through two more reservoirs of clean water to rinse.

i just bought a tassimo t55 and bought some disks for them all of which are for tassimo machine only .strange thing is on the package says compatable
to all tassimo machines but i cant use this one as the bar code is on the side and my machine reads from the middle only ..what do i do
Call tassimo make them replace it with one suitable for use in the T-55.

Check the T-Disk for bar code placement...unless it's directly behind the tab on the T-Disk itself, it cannot be used in this machine....and you need to contact Tassimo for a suitable replacement.

Need some additional coffee producers
This is by far the best 'pod-like' coffee machine to date. If I never have another K cup, I certainly will be just fine! That said, while your selections produce a better cup of coffee/espresso than the KCup, any chance getting PEETS to sign on or Intelligentsia (they are coffee purists, so goo luck). Peets would do very well with the TDiscs provided you all manage your supply lines better than you did with Starbucks. We need a lift to build our brand and to steel market share...C'Mon KRAFT, get a move on!
I don't think Intellegencia makes coffee in enough volume for even a limited Tassimo release. Plus, I don't think tassimo is a fit for their vision of a great coffee experience...some things just aren't made for each other.

Did this blend once come in a larger cup size?
No, but Tassimo does allow you to brew extra....when regular brew cycle is finished (and the upper right LED is lit), just push and hold down the brew button until it's the size you want. ;)
